Summary of the project:

Strengthening Civil society organization working in disability to defend and fulfil the rights of people with mental and physical disabilities. 

Main objectives: 

To raise awareness about the rights and entitlement of Persons with mental and physical disabilities among key community members (CDCs, local Government, religious leaders, media) in 10 provinces of Afghanistan. To build the capacity of Disability focused CSOs including Men /Women DPOs to promote and protect rights of persons with mental and physical disabilities in the targeted project areas

Main outputs: 

Key community members (CDCs, local Government, religious leaders, and media) in 10 provinces of Afghanistan receive information and knowledge about the rights and entitlement of PwDs. Relevant Government Authorities, CDCs and other duty bearers acquire knowledge, Skills, awareness and are more responsive towards rights and entitlements of women, men, girls and boys with mental and physical disabilities
