We’re excited to announce that we recently distributed 16 chicken coops to the people of Nijrab, benefiting more than 500 families – both male and female! We believe that providing these coops will not only support households with fresh eggs and poultry but also create more economic opportunities for the community. AOAD conducted its board members meeting for the year 2023 at Main Office Kabul, AOAD has achieved the result more than expected and planned during past years. As a result of extreme efforts and honesty, Today AOAD has 479 employees in different provinces of Afghanistan, AOAD has a strong commitment to improving and enhancing the quality of services in Physical Rehabilitation, Physical Accessibility, Health Section, inclusive Education, Vocational Training for Persons with Disabilities through Afghanistan.
AOAD-Zabul Physical rehabilitation center provided 142 physical rehabilitation-related services for males and 45 same services for female victims of war and people with disability Under UNMAS-funded Victim Assistance Services Project in Zabul, During this period the team produced 5 new prosthetic and orthotic devices and also repaired 16 more P&O devices, beside of that successfully completed physiotherapy sessions for 59 male and 20 female referrals of the center and the team also had 60 Psychosocial Counseling and distribution of 28 different types of assistive devices to the referrals of the center.
AOAD-Paktika Physical rehabilitation center provided 56 physical rehabilitation-related services for victims of war and people with disability Under the PMWRA-funded Victim Assistance Services Project in Paktika, During this period the team produced new prosthetic and orthotic devices and also repaired P&O devices, beside of that successfully completed physiotherapy sessions for referrals of the center and the team also had Psychosocial Counseling and distribution of different types of assistive devices to the referrals of the center too.
AOAD-Arzan Qimat center provides related Physical Rehabilitation services for the War Victims and People with Disabilities under the PM/WRA Department of State, a funded project which is in the moment of Implementing in Kabul-Both Khak area and the implementer is Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled (AOAD). The total services provided (209) these services include Physiotherapy (68) Prosthetic and Orthotics Repair (44) Physio Social Counseling services (72) and also distributed Assistive devices (25).

referrals of the center and the team also had 74 Psychosocial Counseling and the distribution of 39
different types of assistive devices to the referrals of the center too.
AOAD-Kabul Physical rehabilitation center provided 211 physical rehabilitation-related services for victims of war and people with disability Under (PMWRA) funded Victim Assistance Services Project in Kabul, the team produced and repaired 18 orthotic & prosthetic devices and also successfully completed physiotherapy sessions for 61 referrals of the center beside of that the team had 108 Psychosocial Counseling & 24 Distributed Assistive Devices to the referrals of the center too.
AOAD-Paktika physical rehabilitation center provided 94 physical rehabilitation-related services for victims of war and people with disability under (PMWRA) the funded Victim Assistance Services Project in Paktika, the team produced and repaired 13 orthotic & prosthetics devices and also completed physiotherapy sessions for 49 referrals.
During the weekly reporting period (17 to 23 NOV-022) AOAD-Zabul Physical rehabilitation center provided 93 physical rehabilitation-related services for victims of war and people with disability Under UNMAS funded Victim Assistance Services Project in Zabul, the team produced and repaired 15 orthotic & prosthetic devices and also successfully completed physiotherapy sessions for 39 referrals of the center beside of that the team had 27 Psychosocial Counseling to the referrals of the center too.
Paktia 13th of October, 2022: As part of the AOAD BACEDA/EU project, our Paktia office conducted two days of disability rights and awareness training for local women and local female health staff including some staff members of the Paktia provincial Health Department.
AOAD started Community Mobilization & Awareness on 23rd October 2022 which successfully ended on 13th November 2022 in all 90 villages for its “In-Kind Poultry Assistance Packages in Injil & Guzara Districts of Herat Province”. Through Community Mobilization & Awareness, the necessary information about the project and its assistance to the community is communicated with the community; the community is given ground to share their suggestions on project plans and methods of implementation. All their suggestions will be considered in devising the plans for implementation.
Last week AOAD (Both-khak Center) provided services for (52) persons with disability in a physical rehabilitation center including P&O services, Physiotherapy services, Assistive devices, and Psycho-Social Counselling. The provided services are funded by PMWRA and are listed below.

The main purpose of PLW is cooperation between the relevant directorates, particularly Disabled People Organization (DPO) and the local authorities. Members of various relevant stakeholders participate and share their achievements and plans for PWDs.
As part of AOAD local initiative, disability awareness and advocacy compaign, AOAD provincial office in Paktia province conducted Provincial Learning Workshop (PLW), participated by religious leaders, CDC members, Community members, SHGs, DPO, CSO, Media, School Teachers , DMD and Labor & Social Affairs Directorate. Thanks to EU who generously funded this compaign and the Swidish Committee for Afghanistan, who extende value added technical support.
As part of AOAD dasbility rights and awareness complain, AOAD Paktia office conducted a one-day Disability Stakeholders Coordination Group joint workshop, which discussed responsibilities and joint rights promotion efforts at the wider community level.
AOAD regional office Patktia conducted a Media Roundtable for the promotion of the rights of people with disabilities where local elders, journalists, teachers، social trainers and other key-community leaders participated and discussed the basic human rights, disability challenges, access and inclusion of people with disabilities.
Based on the OCHA/FSAC cluster’s latest response packages, 1040 poor and food-insecure families will be supported through this project. Every eligible Household will receive in-kind Poultry Packages that will include the following items:

Feed (150 KG)
Drinker (x 3)

AOAD has been honored with an award for its outstanding Physical rehabilitation services by Afghan Association for Physiotherapy, which has been received by Dr. Aimal Khan Hamdard AOAD Health Coordinator. The first national physiotherapy conference has held at Continental Hotel on 19 October 2022. AOAD health department feels proud to deliver 13000 Afghan people the best quality physical rehabilitation services in the most remote and hard-to-reach areas in Kabul, Zabul, and Paktika provinces of Afghanistan.
Wednesday 5th October 2022 marked the day that AOAD Project staff were able to meet the Managers of Agriculture Services of both Injil and Guzara Districts of Herat for implementation of UNOCHA funded project under AHF, after following a two week long administrative procedure required by local authorities to get a humanitarian assistance project approved and to qualify to allow NGO staff to go to field at district level. This Project will provide 1,040 eligible households with the poultry packages based on the response package of the FSAC cluster. Each package will include the following items: 1. Chickens (3 Roasters & 27 Hens) 2. Feed (x 150 KG) 3. Drinker (x 3) 4. Feeder (x 3) 5. Chicken Coop Support for Materials (x 1 coop).

Abdul Rahim Ghafurzai High School is located in District #8 of Kabul city, where thousands of students are studying in this school there are a total of 25 disabled people in this school which including 21 students and 4 teachers, Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled (AOAD) has a lot of experience in the field of war victims, victim assistant and mine explosion and implemented deferent projects and now (AOAD) has constructed a standard & modern toilet with all the facilities which a disabled person needs such as; Ramp with handrail and Septic Tank, the inauguration and handover ceremony was officially conducted today at Abdul Rahim Ghaforzai High School.
Today Accessibility Organization for the Afghan Disabled (AOAD) is proud to announce 3-days of basic First Aid Training (BLS) for the health worker of MoPH. With this 3-day First Aid Program Training (BLS) our staff will be able to help Afghans who are in need of health emergency response. This program is funded by World Health Organization (WHO) and it is held in Kabul Ambulance Department.
